Hit a limit figuring out banking limits? You're not alone. But after this guide, you'll know what each one does, and where to find them with George.

Debit card limit

The daily amount you can use per debit card for card payments (online or in-store) and cash withdrawals. The maximum is € 6,000.

Credit card limit

The maximum amount that can be charged monthly on a single credit card. You can request a limit change in the app or web browser.

Daily signing limit

How much you can transfer per day across all your current accounts, including scheduled orders (signed transfers that will be executed at a later date).

The following do not count toward this limit:

This limit is relevant for George ID/cardTAN and only applies to transfers with George. For example, it does not apply to eps transfers ("eps-Überweisung") when shopping online - the only factor here is how much is available in your current account.

Instant Payment (SEPA) limit

The highest amount you can send as an Instant Payment (SEPA) from a single current account. This also applies for standing orders and sweep orders made as Instant Payments (SEPA).

Overdraft limit

This is the maximum amount you can go over your account balance. The available amount is the difference between your account balance and your agreed overdraft limit. An overdraft is there as a "just-in-case" reserve for unexpected (and more expensive) events.

Other than that, the only limit with George is the sky. Well, not even that if you have plane WiFi.
