With George, it's easy to transfer money from a current account to a savings account. Or the other way around. Read on to find out how.
Send to Yourself: Own Transfers

Whether saving for the future or topping up your balance, own transfers let you move money between your accounts. Instantly.
You can make as many own transfers as you want, whenever you want. There are two ways to do so:
From your current account
App
- In Overview, tap "New Transfer" under the account you want to send money from.
- Choose the account you want to transfer to - George shows your options under Own Transfer.
- Enter an amount.
- George takes you to the transfer summary, where you can make changes if needed (e.g. date, amount, text).
- Sign the transfer as usual.
Web Browser
- Choose the account you want to send money from (in Overview or "Your Products") and start a new transfer.
- Click Name to pick an account to send to. You don't even need to type - George highlights your own accounts right away.
- Enter an amount.
- You can also (if you want) add a specific transfer date and reference.
- Sign as usual.
From your savings account
App
- In Overview, tap "Own Transfer" under your savings account. You can also go to your savings account and choose "+ Own transfer".
- Choose the account you want to transfer to - George shows your options.
- Enter an amount.
- George takes you to the transfer summary, where you can make changes if needed (e.g. date, amount, text).
- Sign the transfer as usual.
Web Browser
- Go to your savings account (in Overview or "Your Products") and click "Own Transfer".
- Use the arrows to switch direction (e.g. from/to your savings account)
- If you have more than one option, you can choose the account you want from the dropdown list.
- Enter an amount.
- You can also add a text or specific transfer date. Click the button to expand these fields.
- Sign as usual.
Both account balances are updated right away. It shows up in your transaction history as both outgoing and incoming, depending on which direction you transferred.
