Your debit card limit is how much you can use for card payments and cash withdrawals per day. And easy to change. For example, when you're buying furniture for your flat, or travelling somewhere cash (still) rules.

How to change your debit card limit
The steps are different for the George app and the browser version.
App
- Go to your debit card - from the cards list (💳) in your overview, or from the current account it is tied to.
- Go to Functions and tap "Limits".
- Choose a daily limit from the list.
- Sign as usual.
Web
- Choose the debit card you want in "Your Products" in the header. You can also find it under Cards in the current account it is tied to.
- Click "Change" up top, next to your card.
- Choose a daily limit from the list.
- Sign as usual.
The new limit is active right away. You can change it again any time you want.
What's covered by your debit card limit
Your debit card limit covers the total of the following per day:
- In-store card payments
- Online shopping with debit card
- ATM cash withdrawals
Example
Say you have a limit of 1500 €. You take out 400 € from an ATM and pay 100 € with your debit card. Your remaining available amount will be 1000 €.
Does this apply to card payments with Apple Pay or Google Pay?
If you're using a debit card for which Apple or Google Pay is activated, yes.

Yes. Go to your debit card in the George web version. Available balance shows how much is left for the day.
