Already got a loan? Now make sure you stay on top and in control. From your loan overview, you can track all your transactions and see what's left to pay. And better plan your finances until it's paid off.
Your Loan Overview

Studying abroad. Buying (or building) your dream home. Getting a car for your growing family. There are plenty of reasons - at every stage of life - to get a loan. Once you have one, George makes it easy to keep track with the loan overview.
Where to find your loan overview
App
If your loan is displayed in your George Overview, you'll see the following details:
Name: By default, a loan has your name (e.g. "Marie Weber"). It helps to change this to something that tells you what it's for (e.g. "Renovation", "Wedding"). To do so, tap the three dots (...) and choose "Customise appearance".
Total Remaining: The lower this number, the closer you are to paying back your loan.
Instalment: The fixed amount you pay back each month.
Instalment Date: When your next monthly payment will be transferred.
Tap on a loan to open its overview.
Web
There are 2 ways you can get to your loan overview:
- Click "Your Products" in the header and look for "Loans". Choose the one you want.
- Find your loan among the products in Overview and click "More".
In each case, you will see the following info:

What you can do in your loan overview
App
Let's start with the Transactions tab, which George takes you to first.
Transactions
Here you'll see your loan's transaction history:
Loan payments: Mostly, these are your instalments. You will see them as own transfers from the account tied to your loan. Any one-off payments also show up here.
Outgoing payments: This mainly means accounting fees.
You can search for specific transactions by tapping the 🔎 icon bottom left.
Functions
George creates yearly statements (as a PDF) which you can download. These show:
- Your loan balance (a.k.a. what's left to pay) per quarter
- A detailed list of all transactions
- Debits (what you owe) and credits (what you paid)
You can also tap "Customise" to change the loan's icon or name.
Info
Technically speaking, a loan is an account. That's how you can transfer money to it to make payments. Like any account, it has:
- An IBAN
- A BIC
- An account owner
You can also see the following details:
- Account type
- Next instalment date and amount

From the main overview, you can access three sections in the left-side menu: History, Account Statements and Product Settings.
History
Here you'll see your loan's transaction history:
Loan payments: Mostly, these are your monthly instalments. You will see them as own transfers from the account tied to your loan. Any one-off payments also show up here.

Using the search bar, you can look for transactions. "Amount" and "Date" let you pick a range to narrow down your results.
You can also export transaction data by clicking the download icon. George gives you plenty of flexibility, including:
- File format
- Timeframe
- What's included in the file
Account Statements
George creates yearly statements (as a PDF) which you can download. These show:
- Your loan balance (a.k.a. what's left to pay) per quarter
- A detailed list of all transactions
- Debits (what you owe) and credits (what you paid)
Product Settings
Technically speaking, a loan is an account. That's how you can transfer money to it to make payments. That's why this section shows you the following details for your loan:
- IBAN
- BIC
- Account owner
You can also make the following changes:
- Name: This can help remind you what it the loan is for (e.g. "Wedding", "Renovation"). Loans have your name by default (e.g. "Maria Muster").
- Color: This can help it stand out among your other products.
- Picture: Click the card icon to upload a picture. Similar with loan name, this can help you see what the loan is for.
