What's new at George Business in March 2025?

Last Article Update 20.03.2025

Just in time for the start of spring, there are new updates for George Business. After the design update last time, this round brings new features: improvements in the display of card transactions, data import, and multi-banking via the still-new EBICS standard.

Card authorisations

From now on, George will also show you pending card transactions card authorisations in your transaction list—these are payments that have already been authorised, for example at a point-of-sale terminal or during an online purchase, but have not yet been fully processed on your account or card. This applies to both business credit card and debit card payments.

By the way, these authorisations aka pending transactions immediately affect the available amount of your account or card, while the account balance or credit card balance only changes once the transaction is fully booked.

New options for the Data Import

From now on, when importing data from a CSV file, you can also select the option “Split into individual orders.”

George Business will then create a list of orders based on the CSV file, showing each individual order it contains. You can review and edit these orders as needed.

Easier creation of EBICS connections

If you use Multibanking via the new EBICS standard, you probably already know: the feature is great—but not necessarily simple.

Now, George Business makes it significantly easier to migrate your existing Multibanking connections from the old MBS standard to the EBICS standard. In fact, it now takes just one click—a major time-saver, especially if you manage multiple Multibanking accounts.

There’s also news when it comes to setting up new EBICS connections: two new banks are now available. You can now manage accounts from the following banks via Multibanking (EBICS) and George Business:

  • Raiffeisenlandesbank Salzburg
  • LLB Österreich (Liechtensteinische Landesbank (Österreich) AG)

You can find the full list of EBICS-compatible banks here.

That’s all for March. See you again in April!
