Have a transfer you make more often? With George, you can save it as a template and make changes to it whenever you need.

Transferring with templates lets you save time for payments you make often. But what if you need to make changes? For example, to the amount? Easy. Here's how it works for the George App and George Web Browser.

Where to find your templates
1. Start a new transfer from your current account.
2. Choose Templates.
3. Scroll through the list or search for the template you want - George shows results as you type.
Creating templates
You can save a completed transfer as a template right after signing. Just tap on "Save as template".
Want to create a template without completing a transfer? That works too:
1. Start a new transfer (choose Manual transfer or Scan & Pay).
2. Enter transfer details as usual (e.g. IBAN, amount, payment reference). You can also use one of your contacts.
3. When you get to the transfer summary, tap "X" (iOS) or "←" (Android).
4. Choose "Save as template".
5. Name your template and tap "Save".
Editing templates
Start a new transfer and choose Templates. Then:
1. Tap the 3 dots (...) next to the template and choose "Edit template".
2. You can change amount and template name, as well as add a payment reference OR text.
3. Tap "Save Changes".
Want to delete a template? Tap the 3 dots (...) as above and choose "Delete template".
If you tap on the template itself, you start a transfer with the template details. More on that in the next section.
Using a template
1. Start a new transfer and go to Templates.
2. Choose a template.
3. Sign as usual.
You can also change details here in the summary. These changes are not saved in your template.
Web Browser
Where to find your templates
1. From your overview, go to your Profile (top right, next to logout).
2. Click Contacts & Templates in the left-side menu.
3. Now you can find what you're looking for. There are a few ways to do that:
- Use the search bar. George shows results as you type.
- Speed up your search by choosing the first letter of your template name (e.g. "E" for "Expenses").
No templates yet? Read on to find out how to create your first one.
Creating a template
1. Start a new transfer.
2. Enter details (e.g. IBAN, name, amount) as usual. You can also use one of your contacts.
3. Check the box next to "Create a template" and give it a name.
4. Click "Save & new".
You can now close the transfer form.
Editing templates
You have 2 options:
From your profile
- Go to Contacts & Templates.
- Click on the template you want.
- Choose "Edit".
- You can now change the transfer amount. Click "Save" when you're done.
To delete a template, click the bin icon or go to the template and choose "Delete".
During a transfer
- Start a new transfer.
- Select the template you want to edit.
- Make changes (e.g. date, reference) and check the box next to "Update this template".
- Click "Save & new".
Using a template
1. Start a new transfer.
2. Click the address book icon next to the name field.
3. Find your template - just as described above for Contacts & Templates.
4. Click the name. George fills out their details for you.
You can also edit a template during a transfer wherever you see the pencil icon.
