With George, your contacts are always there when you need them. Read on to find out how to find, use and manage them.

Contacts make transfers much easier. Just pick who to send money to and George fills in their details for you. This looks a bit different depending on whether you're using the George app or web browser.

Where to find your contacts
1. Start a new transfer from your current account.
2. Choose Manual transfer.
3. George shows your contacts as potential recipients. You can also search for someone. Just start typing to see results.
Creating contacts
George creates a contact for you automatically when you:
- Add a new recipient during a manual transfer
- Make a transfer to a new recipient (e.g. with a QR code)
Editing contacts
You can only edit contacts during a transfer in the George app.
1. Start a new transfer and select Manual transfer.
2. Tap the contact you want to edit.
3. Enter an amount and tap "Next". You do not need to send this amount. It just lets you get to the transfer summary.
4. Tap recipient name to make changes (e.g. to ensure a match with Verification of Payee).
Want to delete a contact instead? Tap the 3 dots (...) next to the contact's name instead and choose "Delete contact".
Using a contact
Start a new transfer, choose Manual transfer and make a transfer as usual.
Web Browser
Where to find your contacts
1. From your overview, go to your Profile (top right, next to logout).
2. Click Contacts & Templates in the left-side menu.
3. Now you can find who you're looking for. There are a few ways to do that:
- Use the search bar. George shows results as you type.
- Check your frequent contacts list.
- Find faster by choosing the first letter of your contact's name (e.g. "M" for "Marie Weber") under the search bar.
Creating a contact
From Contacts & Templates:
1. Click on "+ New Contact".
2. Fill out name, IBAN and any other details you want.
3. Hit "Save".
Editing contacts
Once you find the contact you want:
1. Click on their name.
2. Choose "Edit".
3. Make changes, such as name (e.g. to ensure a match with Verification of Payee) or address.
4. Click "Save".
George automatically updates details for templates that use this contact.
If you want to delete a contact, you can click the bin icon next to their name or click on the contact and choose "Delete".
Using a contact
1. Start a new transfer.
2. Click the address book icon next to the name field.
3. Find your contact - just as described above for Contacts & Templates.
4. Click their name. George fills out their details for you.
You can also edit a contact during a transfer wherever you see the pencil icon.
