Sölktäler Nature Park
For almost 200 years, Steiermärkische Sparkasse has been advocating for a tomorrow worth living for in various regions. Unfortunately, increasing light pollution is threatening the natural night sky and biodiversity. The Sölktäler Nature Park wants to counteract this and is aiming to be certified as an “International Dark Sky Park”. We support this endeavour to protect the night sky and promote the preservation of flora and fauna in this area. Together, we are preserving the beauty and diversity of our region.
BaumNaturDenkmal (The Natural Tree Monument)
With the diamond partnership, Steiermärkische Sparkasse is making an important contribution to the protection of small ecosystems and is actively helping to build an effective protective umbrella over the 600 or so ancient Styrian trees.

„Clean waters of Bosnia and Herzegovina”
The Bosna Diving Club has been implementing the “Clean waters of Bosnia and Herzegovina” project with the support of Steiermärkische Sparkasse for several years now. Professional divers and volunteers clean rivers and lakes in Bosnia and Herzegovina all year round. This joint effort raises awareness about the environment and valuable water resources.
