You want to use a new smartphone for s Identity authorisation, but you still own the old smartphone.
You will need to install and activate the s Identity app on your new device (download from the official app store) BEFORE you discard the old device.
There are three ways how you get a new activation code:
- Generate a new activation code online in George
Using a browser: George settings / Login & Signing / Your s Identity devices / Add a device
Using George app: Profile / Signing / add new signing device
Use your old smartphone once more to activate the s Identity app on your new smartphone right away.
- You can also get a new activation code at your institute’s branch, outside business hours even in the branches self-service area.
Huge advantage: You may use the self-service area in ANY Sparkasse or Erste Bank. No matter if you are a customer of this specific institute!
Tip: Please check our branch finder to find out which branch owns a terminal marked with “George” function where an s Identity activation code can be printed.
- Or have the helpdesk send you one by registered mail after contacting the helpdesk at the s ServiceCenter. It can be used to activate the s Identity app on the new smartphone. You can delete the s Identity app from your "old" smartphone thereafter.
