Before you start

To buy securities, you'll need:

  • a securities portfolio
  • a high enough available amount in your account to cover the purchase as well as potential fees

Buying securities via app or web

It doesn't matter if you're in front of your PC or on the go. With George, you can buy securities in the app and on the web. That means you have access to your investments at all times and can be flexible about how you manage them.

Execution & display in your portfolio

After execution, your purchased security shows up in your portfolio.

Non-executed or partially executed orders stay open based on validity.

You can view, change or cancel your orders any time, as long as they were not completed already.

What you should keep in mind

  • No Consulting: When you place orders with George securities trading, you do so advice-free and based on your own securities knowledge and experience. Please inform yourself about the risks of the securities you want to trade, as well as the trade conditions of the respective trading venues.

  • Your knowledge and experience: Before you place securities orders, George checks if you have the required knowledge/understanding of a specific financial instrument and whether you have relevant experience. This is to see if you can estimate risks associated with investing. An honest self-assessment is in your own best interest. This assessment will then apply for all orders that you place in branch or via George securities trading.

  • George keeps you informed: George shows you all the required documents for your purchase during the order. Read all these documents in detail to make sure you're well-informed before you sign the order.

  • Market fluctuations: Securities are open to market risks and prices can change at any time. The price George shows you only serves as a snapshot.

Tips for your purchase

  • Use Limit Orders if price is an important factor for you. This lets you define a maximum amount you're willing to pay.
  • Use price alerts to not miss optimal times to buy, as well as sell.
  • Use your Watchlist to track your securities and find out more about the market development before you buy a security.
