Different daily business tasks demand different permissions and access rights. That's why George Business organises his users by different roles. This concept of user roles helps to quickly assign and manage permissions to individual users or to whole groups of users.
What Kind of Different User Roles and Permissions Exist for George Business?

User roles explained
George Business distinguishes between 3 different user roles:
- User
- Disposer ("Verfüger:in")
- Admin
Whether you are a user, a disposer or an admin depends on the tasks you perform with George Business and the respective rights you need to do so. Users can perform all daily tasks with George Business, such as preparing payment orders. Disposers can perform the same tasks as users and additionally have the right to sign orders. To perform the same tasks as users, the disposer login has to be activated. Admins take care of administrative tasks, such as product and user management. They can manage permissions, sign orders, and add or delete users.
Users
Users have the necessary rights to perform daily business tasks with George Business. They can, for example, create and prepare orders or view accounts. A typical profession group for users are accountants who create and view orders, but do not need to have signing rights. Users can also function as admins, if they are assigned the admin role.
Disposers
Persons in management who are formally authorised signees and are managed by the bank are normally in this role. As authorised signees, they can sign orders but do not have to take on operational tasks themselves, just like users who initiate the signing process. But George Business is flexible. That's why it's possible to have a combination of user and disposer. For example, authorised signees who both work with George Business and are authorised for signing orders. How the various rights are assigned is the responsibility of the administrator.
Admins
Admins regulate what other users can see and do at George Business. The following functions are available to admins:
- Add or remove additional users from the "Administration" role
- Create roles and users
- Assign permissions for accounts, cards and loans for different roles
- Change the login procedure or define alternative login options for users
- Generate new activation codes for the s Identity app or s Identity Desktop application
- Assign a TANCard or a TAN-capable BankCard that is required for generating the "One Time Password" (OTP) when logging in user accounts
- Printout of a new PIN code for users who use the SMS-TAN or cardTAN system
- Blocking, unblocking and deleting users
- Setting up external bank connections (EBICS)
Permissions
Permissions regulate what the respective user can see or do with George Business. They can be assigned to users in three different ways:
- individually to the user directly
- by defining the permissions for certain roles and assigning users to the respective role
- by defining permissions for certain products and assigning roles or users to the respective products
The administration of permissions is divided as follows:
- Users
- Roles
- Accounts
- Cards
- Financing
- Other
- MBS disposer
Once you open the permission management, the overview of all users, containing all existing users and sCore disposers, is displayed. Here you can manage and change user rights of on an individual level, role level or product level. You also have the option of administering MBS disposers and editing account enquiry settings.
