George Business Design Update 2025: What's in it?

Last Article Update 10.03.2025

With the February update (on 17/02/25), George Business will receive his first major and highly visible design update. This update is a response to feedback and insights gathered over more than two years in business. The focus is on a new, simplified navigation, context-based workflows with reduced "risk of getting lost," and side-by-side views that enhance clarity and make more efficient use of available space.

The design refresh will take place in multiple stages, with the first major update being released in February 2025, as mentioned earlier. The most noticeable change will be the new main navigation.

This will make George Business even more intuitive, allowing you to quickly navigate the refreshed interface and easily manage your accounts, cards, products, and features. Below, you can find the key innovations in more detail.

Main navigation on the left side

Navigation with George Business now relies even more on the left-side menu. The individual menu items are arranged more clearly, making it easier to distinguish between key functions—such as "New Order" or the address book—on one hand, and your accounts, financing, cards, etc., on the other.

A new addition to the left-side menu is the "Contact" section (previously located in the top navigation). Here, you can access your business messages and bank notifications, among other things.

The main navigation remains your key point of orientation in the George Business universe—literally staying by your side at all times. No matter which subpage you're on, you can always access all relevant menus.

In addition, a "stepper navigation" at the top of subpages now provides even clearer context, showing exactly where you are and what you're working on—for example, when processing a SEPA transfer.

Even when subpages—such as your account page—have their own secondary menus, the main navigation always remains on the left side, at least in a collapsed view. This allows you to quickly switch menus using the corresponding icons at any time.

This also saves you numerous clicks on "Back" buttons, making navigation smoother and more efficient.

Shortcuts to orders

Another improvement to the previously mentioned subpages and their secondary menus: When navigating deeper into your accounts, such as the account history, you now have shortcuts to the most important transaction types readily available.

This further reduces the need for unnecessary "back" navigation, making your workflow even more efficient.

Contextual editing: side-by-side views

You now get significantly more context with the new Side-by-Side Views for editing fields. When multiple steps are required for a task—such as blocking a card—these steps no longer take over the entire George Business interface in fullscreen mode, which could previously cause disorientation.

Instead, they now slide in from the right side, like a drawer, while keeping the overall context visible in the background.

This way, you always know what you're working on and exactly where you are within the system.
