Company structures and roles can get complicated. George Business simplifies things by differentiating between "everyday" users who perform regular tasks and those authorised to sign orders. Special tasks such as product or user management are handled by administrators (admins).

To join George Business, you need your George Business access data. You'll get these via s Box from the s Service Center (if you are an admin or disposer). If you are a George Business user, your admin will generate and share your access data with you.

Who is who at George Business?

George Business distinguishes between 3 different groups:

  • User
  • Disposer ("Verfüger:in")
  • Admin

Whether you are a user, disposer or admin, you have different tasks and rights when using George Business. Users can perform all daily tasks at George Business, such as preparing payment orders. Disposers can also sign orders. Admins also take care of administrative tasks, such as product and user management. They can assign rights and add or delete users.

Users

With this role, you can, for example, create and prepare orders or view accounts. A typical user group is accountants who create and view orders, but do not need to have signing rights.

Disposers

Persons in management who are formally authorised to sign and who are administered by the bank usually take on this role. As authorised signees, they can sign orders, but they don't need to take on any operational tasks themselves, such as users who initiate the signature process. But George Business is flexible. That's why it's possible to combine user and disposer. For example, for authorised signees who both work with George Business and are authorised to sign. How the various rights are allocated is the administrator's responsibility.

Admins

Who can see what at George Business or do certain things is regulated by an administrator in your company. This is what the concept of user groups is for. The following functions are available to admins:

  • Add or remove additional users from the "Administration" role.
  • Create roles and users
  • Assign account permissions for users or roles
  • Change the login procedure or define alternative login options for users
  • Generate new activation codes for George ID and s Identity
  • Assign a TAN card or a TAN-capable BankCard that is required for generating the "One Time Password" (OTP) when logging in user accounts
  • Print out a new PIN code for users who use the SMS-TAN or cardTAN system
  • Lock, unlock and delete users
  • Activate & deactivate disposers created by the bank for the login at George Business
  • Set up external bank connections
