Sparkasse Oberösterreich is a member of the Austrian Savings Bank Sector, and acts as a free and independent bank. Furthermore, Sparkasse Oberösterreich and Erste Bank concluded a mutual liability agreement.

Besides retail and corporate business Capital Markets was implemented as a third strategic business line. In Foreign Exchange trading SPARKASSE OÖ joined Continuous Linked Settlement (CLS) in February 2004 as a third party.
