Our awards

The ever-increasing shortage of skilled employees and people’s increasing willingness to change jobs are just two of the reasons that make it necessary to have a strong employer brand coupled with efficient and targeted recruiting activities.

In an annual employer brand study, the recruiting quality of Austrian and German top employers was surveyed once again in 2013. For Austria, more than 500 top companies and institutions from 22 industry sectors were analysed and assessed.

The Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG achieved the second place in the finance and banking sector again and has been certified as SILVER CAREER’S BEST RECRUITER.


Erste Bank pays special attention to the way the Bank is perceived as an attractive employer. Openness and clear communication, both with our employees and with potential applicants, is important to us.

We therefore regard it as a special distinction to have been given both the “Open Company” and the “Top Company” awards by Kununu.

„Place to Perfom“ stands for companies who invest today in future employees and who offer an internship which provides experiences and an excellent working enviroment.    

Place to Performe is a quantitative study with the aim to choose the best internship in Austria.

200 interns voted: Erste Bank reaches an excellent place under the Top 5 and was awarded with the “place to perform” seal of quality. The study was performed by the consulting company uniforce in cooperation with the university of Vienna and under the patronage of the ministry of science.

Main focus of the study was the quality of intern positions regarding the criterias working conditions, working climate, colleagues, function and recruiting process. 

For Students from the university of applied science Erste Bank offers longterm internships. There is also the possibility to do the master thesis as part of a project. Because of the intense support during the internship and the close contact to the company there often arises a possibility for a job entry.
